SUMMARY

Post-pandemic, health monitoring became a daily necessity. During my MS in Product Design at Sapienza University of Rome (2020-2021), I developed Milo, a device enabling seamless tracking of EKG, blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature—bridging the gap between patients and doctors

Milo – Empowering Heart Health, Anytime, Anywhere.

1

The Challenge

Heart patients require frequent monitoring (up to 6x/day). Traditional devices are either too complex, disconnected, or lack real-time data sharing. The goal was to create an intuitive, accessible, and predictive solution.

2

The Solution

Milo is a sensor-integrated health companion that:

✅ Tracks vitals accurately

✅ Shares real-time data with doctors

✅ Provides personalized reminders

✅ Uses AI for health predictions

3

Technology & Feasibility

Built with Arduino, IoT sensors, cloud connectivity, and AI, Milo aligns with the global rise in wearable health tech and remote healthcare solutions, making it just as relevant today.

My Role Interaction Product Designer

As an Interaction Product Designer, I led research, prototyping, and usability testing, ensuring an inclusive, user-friendly experience. This project deepened my expertise in human-centered design, IoT, and medical UX.

Why Milo Matters

Cardiovascular diseases are the #1 cause of death—early detection is critical. 🚀 Remote healthcare is growing, reducing hospital visits.

🚀 Aging populations need accessible monitoring tools. 🚀 AI-driven health tracking enhances preventive care.

Neutral Stage

Oscillatory devices produce a digital readout and work on the principle that blood flowing through an artery between systolic and diastolic pressures causes vibrations in the arterial wall which can be detected and transduced into electrical signals.
