PROJECT OVERVIEW

MS in Product Design - Thesis Work - Individual Project 2021-22 (6 Months) Sapienza University of Rome, Italy

In this project, my primary focus is delving into the expansive realm of Design-Driven Innovation, with a particular interest in the Fine Arts industry.

The overarching goal of this project is to impart specific knowledge in the domains of, Service Design User, Social Innovation, and User Experience Design. This knowledge will serve as a valuable toolkit for acquiring the skills necessary to select, manage, and experiment with innovative products, services, and systems. These innovations should address both economic and social challenges, encompassing the entire lifecycle from design through production to consumption.

Furthermore, the ultimate objective is, to craft a design proposal that not only fosters innovation but is also sustainable. Achieving this involves a multifaceted approach, taking into account the environmental context, production capabilities, economic dynamics, and social dimensions. This holistic perspective ensures that our innovation contributes positively to society while being mindful of its ecological and economic implications.

MY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

SERVICE DESIGNER

My project revolves around the creation of a service that not only addresses real-life issues but also introduces innovation that can lead to a viable business venture.

Theoretical Framework: The project begins by establishing a strong theoretical foundation, encompassing an extensive range of service design concepts and their versatile application tools. However, the primary thrust of this endeavor is to conceptualize and design an innovative service capable of resolving tangible, real-world problems while simultaneously laying the foundation for a sustainable business.

Practical Framework: To bring this vision to life, I've employed a pragmatic approach. This involves the application of a diverse array of Service Design methodologies and User Experience (UX) tools such as Design Thinking, People-Centered Design (PCD), Benchmarking, and the Business Model Canvas. These practical tools and methods serve as the building blocks for transforming theory into actionable, innovative solutions.

PROFESSIONAL & NEWBORN ARTCOLLECTORS

The newborn and professional art collectors face many hassles in reselling the artworks whenever they want- like proof of authentication of artwork, time taking process, many of them don’t know the proper process of buying and selling the art and another problem need for expert advice for buying an artwork as an investment.
